Ritual Tavern is very excited about tonight's DrinkAbout!

If a free shuttle bus to & from 7 craft beer centric establishments isn't enough to get you out of the house tonight: perhaps American Craft Beer Week will do the trick! ACBW was created by the same Brewers Association responsible for the Great American Beer Festival. They have designated the ACBW as a time to consider Small, Independent, and Traditional Brewing here in America.

So in doing our part in celebrating the rich cultural celebration that is American Craft Beer Week & DrinkAbout, Ritual Tavern will be offering $4 pours of AleSmith X-pale, Bear Republic Racer 5 IPA and Victory Helios Saison $4 ea ALL NIGHT TONIGHT Wednesday May 18th! In addition, we'll have our regularly priced line-up of local favorites Alpine Ugly, Pizza Port Ocean Beach Spaceman BPA, New English ESB, Manzanita Brewing Rustic Red, as well as Oskar Blues G'Night, Eel River Raven's Eye Imperial Stout plus imported taps La Chouffe and Hofbrau Maibock.

Heaven Sent Desserts - Is it from Heaven or is is from H--l ...?

An all time favorite at Heaven Sent Desserts is the special offering for the 30th on 30th this month! The heavenly Bourbon Street Bread Pudding is the richest, the tastiest, the most scrumptious bread pudding you have ever tasted.

It is moist, it is flavorful, it has texture (being made from flaky buttery croissants it has the lightest texture - none of that stodginess of other puddings ...) and it has that temptation sauce from ... we are not sure ... which puts the finishing touch (and kick) on this true New Orleans Bourbon Street Bread Pudding!

And, just for you the price will be $5.25 instead of the usual $7.00 - so bring your best friends, your date and yourself, then indulge!

South Park Walkabout Tonight 3/26

Things will be hoppin' all over South Park tonight for the annual Spring Walkabout. For a complete Guide to what's happening, visit the Walkabout Website, or click the image.

March-ing on 30th St

The Ritual Tavern has been a St. Patrick’s Day destination since we opened, so we’re ready for anything this Thursday. We have lots of Niman Ranch Beef Brisket Corning. The beef will braise with Suzie’s Farm Organic Fingerling Potatoes and Cabbage for a traditional Corned Beef plating with a Ritual twist.

St. Patrick's Day revelry is always fun, but remember you can have a relaxed and eventful experience the day before as well. If you were to visit the Ritual tonight, for example, you might enjoy locally caught Corvina Fish and Chips, or our signature Shepherd’s Pie, paired with Avery Out of Bounds Stout, or Stone Levitation Amber Ale. Both of those beers are HAPPY HOUR ALL NIGHT! The DrinkAbout Bus runs TONIGHT WEDNESDAY 3/16, you can hop aboard FOR FREE and visit another neighborhood bar (or two) a day before the big crowds converge.

We OPEN at NOON on WEEKENDS, NOW SERVING BRUNCH :-)
Open at 4:30 during the week! (We're still closed on Mondays.)

Later in March watch for Cask Conditioned Manzanita Ale on our beer engine. We're making plans to celebrate Earth Day, April 22nd, with rare Eel River Organic Ales and another one of our famously delicious Brewer's Dinners.

Strawberry Fraise at Heaven Sent

Heaven Sent Desserts has a true sweet treat for you this 30th on 30th (28th on 30th) - our heavenly, light, tasty, and delicious Strawberry Fraise cake! Filled with Crème Anglaise, fresh strawberries and whipped cream in a cocoon of vanilla chiffon cake - it is to die for … Normally $6.50 per slice - For You only $4.25 during 30th on 30th!

4th Annual Valentine's Day Weekend Ritual with AleSmith

Ritual Tavern is extremely happy that AleSmith, our SweetHeart for this weekend, recently got a lot of love from the Los Angeles Times 'American Craft Beer Scene Goes Global' article. The story touches on AleSmith lending inspiration to Scottish Brewer James Watt of BrewDog.

There's more to love, like ratebeer.com's review of AleSmith Wee Heavy; Perfect Score!

Lovely AleSmith Taps At Ritual

As you already know timing is everything. Come in ASAP for the four AleSmith Drafts available now: Speedway Stout, Lil Devil, My Bloody Valentine, and Wee Heavy. We are also offering a delicious Niman Ranch Skirt Steak to pair off with Bloody Valentine, we should have enough to last all weekend.

Now here is where timing is essential, on Friday we switch from draft My Bloody to Cask Conditioned My Bloody Valentine. The last cask we served from AleSmith, Winter YuleSmith, emptied in just one glorious night. So if its cask you want from us, be sure to stop by on Friday night. Draft My Bloody resumes when the cask is emptied.

For you folk who didn't make your reserations in time for our Brewer's Dinner with AleSmith on Monday the 14th, just know they will be enjoying Paso Robles Grass Fed Beef Short ribs with their My Bloody Valentine. They'll also get a freshly tapped keg of Horny Devil ;-)

Expanded Hours in March

Beginning March 1st, the Ritual's hours of operation will be extended: Tuesday through Friday OPEN AT 4:30pm, Saturday and Sunday OPEN AT NOON! Stay tuned for news on our Patio Style Daytime menu.

Cheers!

Salsa Sushi Night with Beryl & June at Sea Rocket

On Sunday, Feb 20th, Beryl Forman (aka Miss Boulevard), and June Clarke are taking over Sea Rocket for a little thing we call Salsa Sushi. They take our fresh farm direct ingredients, add a Mexican twist, and roll them like sushi. Sounds crazy, but they taste amazing! And June will be DJing the music, so the tunes promise to be just as delicious.

We'll be serving three kinds of rolls as appetizer specials for $5 each:
Ceviche
Grass-fed Braised Beef
Mushroom with Caramelized Onion

Rolls are garnished with pico de gallo, cabbage, and house-made sauces like chimichurri and medium picante hot sauce.

This is a one-time event (unless we decide to do it again...) so be sure not to miss it! RSVP here on our Facebook event page.

Today Saturday January 22nd: OPEN AT NOON!

Ritual Tavern will open at Noon to celebrate Anderson Valley Brewing Company. We are huge fans of the AVBC Boont Amber Ale, which has been available here on draft, in bottle and in can on our menus over time. This weekend we will tap new offerings from AVBC, four kegs to be exact.

AVBC deserves attention for several reasons, including the fact that
the combined competition roster of medals for these taps is no less
than 32, including World Beer Cup, Great American Beer Festival, as
well as Statewide competition awards. Anderson Valley also lends us
a sense of history, in that it is one of the first of our states
microbreweries, and has maintained close ties to the original San
Francisco and the new San Diego Toronado. Former AVBC brewer Sean
Jackson has taken on the task of traveling and educating beer lovers
about the rich AVBC tradition. Sean will join us on Saturday, he is
a really fun and entertaining beer lover.

Our four pairings will be available a-la Carte, and the atmosphere
will be casual. Come on by anytime after noon on Saturday to
partake. We have tapped the Brother David's Double early so that
folks can get a preview. "Brewed at the Anderson Valley Brewing
Company by David Keene, the owner of the legendary San Francisco
beer-bar, Toronado, this double-style ale features the huge fruit
flavors combined with yeastiness and spiciness that Belgian ales are
known for. ** Silver Medal: Belgian Style Strong Specialty Ale -
2010 Great America Beer Festival and 4 other medals **" (courtesy

Tonight Wednesday January 12th: Yappy Hour!

Happy Hour fun for the whole family!
30th Street's own Natural Pet and Ritual Tavern have joined forces to present 'Yappy Hour' on the 2nd Wednesday of the month. Hang out on our patios with your pooches! The Ritual will have food and drink specials for the humans, Natural Pet will provide samples and treats for the pups and Trio Gadjo will provide the musical accompaniment :-)

Linkery New Year's Day Brunch

On Saturday, New Year's Day, at The Linkery we're having a special brunch to kick the year off right. We open at 10am, we've got Intelligentsia coffee and fresh squeezed orange juice from Schaner Farms oranges. And lots of good food.

We'll transition seamlessly into Saturday nite, of course, when we'll be open late. And Sunday we'll be open from 10am (brunch again) to 10pm.

30th on 30th + New Year's Eve Ritual Celebration

Let's count down to the end of 2010: 3 AleSmith Drafts, Two 30th Street Tacos, 1 Magnum of Duvel. Tonight, 30th on 30th means Cask Conditioned AleSmith YuleSmith will flow from the Ritual Tavern beer engine and Niman Ranch Steak Ranchero Tacos are two for $5. On New Years Eve come on in for 3 AleSmith drafts as we finish off the YuleSmith Cask and get into AleSmith X and AleSmith IPA on tap! Surf and Turf Beef Tenderloin Tip and Local Harvest Shrimp will be available without a reservation. We're saving 1 Magnum of Duvel for our New Years toast. Ring out the old, ring in the new.

Linkery: Christmas Eve & New Years Eve + 3 Special Brunches

The all-new Linkery will be open every day over the holidays except for Christmas Day. New Year's Eve we'll be open past midnite (as we often are on the weekends anyway). We'll have our new brunch on Dec. 26 (Boxing Day), New Years Day and Jan. 2, starting at 10am all those days.

Brunch is pretty off-the-hook: pastured chicken eggs, house made links, Intelligentsia coffee, fresh squeezed juice from Schaner Farms oranges, house made cafe de olla. There's nothing like this anywhere.

El Take It Easy on the holidays: New Years Eve with DJ Astronauta Jackon

We at El Take It Easy are open every day over the holidays except Christmas Day, and New Year's Eve we'll be kickin' it through midnite to the sweet tunes of DJ Astronauta Jackson (San Diego/Tijuana). $4 bubbly, big cazuelas, and good times for all.

And don't forget 30th on 30th the nite before!

Ritual Holiday Gifting

It's raining, it's pouring; a bowl of Shepherd's Pie or Gumbo sure would taste great about now.

The Ritual Tavern is the perfect place to get out of the rain. Have a warm tasty meal in a cozy, candle lit tavern, drink craft beer & complete your holiday shopping at the same time! In addition to Ritual Tavern gift certificates, all of our house made condiments are available for purchase. Ketchup, mustard, hot sauce, pickles, pickled farmer's market vegetable medleys: all made in house, free from artificial flavors, colors or chemicals. Ritual holiday shopping, as easy as ordering dinner ;-)
